Welcome to Steubenville High School's Guidance Department

The Guidance Department at Steubenville High School is pleased to welcome students and families back for another school year. We are committed to supporting the academic, career, and personal development of every student as they progress toward graduation and beyond.

Our counselors work collaboratively as a team to provide comprehensive services that promote student success. These services include academic advising and scheduling, college and career planning, college application and financial aid support, testing coordination, and guidance on graduation requirements. We are also available to assist students in developing the skills and plans needed for life after high school, whether that includes college, the workforce, military service, or technical training.

Student well-being is central to our mission. We maintain an open-door approach and encourage students, parents, and staff to reach out whenever support is needed. When appropriate, we also connect students and families with school and community resources to ensure their academic and personal needs are met.

Throughout the school year, our department will continue to provide programming and opportunities that prepare students for postsecondary success while helping them grow as responsible, informed, and confident young adults.

We look forward to working alongside our students and families this year and remain committed to guiding, supporting, and encouraging every student through graduation and into their future.

College Credit Plus

Ohio College Credit Plus (CCP)

Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) program allows students to earn both high school and college credit at the same time by taking college courses through participating community colleges and universities. CCP is designed to encourage rigorous academic study and give college-ready students a wide range of course options while still in high school.

CCP partners with many Ohio colleges and universities, including:

• Belmont College
• Lorain County Community College
• Stark State College
• Kent State University

Through these partnerships, students can take courses on a college campus, online, or sometimes at their high school, depending on the program options.
